"Soft brown shadows are universally flattering and look modern when worn as a monochromatic smoky eye," says makeup artist Nick Barose.

HOW-TO:

Trace your lash lines with a black pencil like.

"Don't worry if the liner isn't perfectly straight, since you'll be smudging it anyway."

Apply shadow (we like browns from Dior) across lids and under lower lashes, connecting it at the outer corners, says makeup artist Pati Dubroff. Blend well and use one coat of Givenchy's mascara.

A quick dusting of contouring powder creates the illusion of structured cheekbones. Try Mirabella's along with this trick: Suck in your cheeks and brush the powder down the hollow area,

Ways to Look Taller

I usually spend my time at fashion shows, fashion magazine, to marvelling at how long and lean the models are In fashion, at least, taller women always look better in the clothes.

One’s  my friends said he wasn’t fat, his legs were just too short.  I guess that’s a common problem for many of us.  we’d all look longer and leaner with maybe another foot of height.

You can never look too tall! Even 6-foot, 50-something model Jerry Hall likes to look taller, in her monochromatic look with a V-neck and black fishnets to continue the long line.

But height is something you either have naturally or you don’t: it’s not something you can change with diet or exercise like so many other body challenges.

So the best way to make yourself look taller and leaner is to use visual tricks.

This is a great fashion cycle to try and look taller and leaner since so many of the shapes – long tunics with leggings, long slim trousers, sheath dresses, etc. – help create a longer, leaner line.

Here we write some quick fashion tips to add some visual height to your look as you need:

1. Although women have long turned to all black as a no-brainer for dressing slimmer, you can also use other hues to create a longer line.  I like different hues of the same color family: charcoal, silver and heather gray for example. What you don’t want to do is chop up your body with contrasting colors if you want to look taller, for example, wearing a white shirt with a black skirt.

2.  An unbuttoned jacket or vest can give you that strong vertical line that keeps the eye moving up and down, rather than across. The sheath dress is the perfect dress silhouette to create a strong vertical line. Slim pants worn with a tunic top, a long scarf wrapped around your neck with ends left dangling and layers of long necklaces all create a strong vertical presence as well. Even going with vertical seaming or prints can add to the eye travelling up and down rather than across.

3.  The best way to visually increase your height is to physically increase your height Wear heels. Even a slight heel (minimum two inches) will improve the line of most outfits and give you a longer look. Even your boots can make you look taller: opt for sleek, knee-high boots and leggings or skinny jeans in the same color to create a long, unbroken line. Try legwear in the same color as your shoes for another great way to add visual height. And, of course, if you can wear really high heels, they are still the best way to look taller.

4.  Hollywood’s trick to having endless gams is to wear nude shoes with bare (or seemingly bare) legs. Try nude shoes.Nude shoes look great with just about any color and you can even cheat to wear them with super sheer nude hose or nude-colored fishnets (Diane von Furstenberg uses this trick to make it look like she has flawless legs.) Red and black dresses look fresh and new when paired with nude shoes.

5.  Try to use a V-neck top. This V-neck top adds visual height and elongates the neck. Even if you wear it layered (like a deep V-neck sweater with a tee layered under it) it will still give you a longer line than either a crew or boat neck top would. Hw much deeper the V, the greater the illusion of your height.

Fashion Women's 10 Ways to Look Skinnier Instantly

In the way we wear our dresses in our everyday life, sometimes all it takes is a small change pieces to look instantly slimmer. For example, a few years ago I started buying longer-length jeans so I could wear heels with them. Small change, huge difference. I not only looked thinner and longer legged, I also looked more dressed up

Here are we show some more easy ideas to look thinner:

1.  Use the new shape wear. If the thought of constricting girdles from years past have kept you from trying the new shape wear, you'll be amazed at how far body slimmer’s have come. I love camisole shapers to wear under knits and Spanx for a super sleek line under dresses and pants.

2.  Always use  the right bra. If everything isn't exactly, um, where it used to be, the quickest way to get that slim torso back is to lift everything back into place. The right way to do this is by choosing the perfect bra for your body. If you've never been fitted for a bra before, it can be a little awkward but well worth it to get the right bra. You need a bra wardrobe - exercise, casual, t-shirt, strapless, etc. - so that you can have something for every outfit.

3.  Dress in monochromatic colors head-to-toe. You may know that head-to-toe black is slimming, but did you know that head-to-toe anything will give you a slimmer look than chopping it up in blocks of color? Even head-to-toe white can be slimming.

4.  Opt for constructed pieces instead of loose knits. I don't know where the myth began that long, loose knit layers were flattering, but they are tremendously unflattering to overweight women. Instead, opt for pants that hang straight from the hip (no fuller, no skinnier), jackets with some construction and shirts with some tailoring. The overall effect should be to skim your body - never tight - but still much more flattering than flimsy knits.

5.  Wear dark colors on your largest areas. Big bottom? Wear black pants or dark jeans with a print top. Top heavy? Wear a black jacket with light pants. You get the idea. Camouflage your heaviest part with a dark item to make it recede, and bring your slimmer section into focus by wearing a bright or print.

6.  Wear heels. The taller you are, the slimmer you'll look. So add a few inches to legs with heels. If you have heavy legs, make sure you pick a substantial-looking heel. I like wedges because they are more comfortable, trendy and even work for women with curvy calves.

7.  Opt for back pockets on your pants, jeans-style. The worst thing you can do for a broad backside is to go pocketless. Back pockets - the flat, jean-style patch ones - break up the expanse of bottom and make you look smaller.

8.  Bring all the attention to your face with earrings and/or a necklace.Wear jewelry close to your face. I like long, layered chains to give the entire body a longer, leaner line.

9.  The wrong print is anything that makes you look wider:Choose the right prints. polka dots, thick horizontal lines or widely spaced florals. The right prints give you visual height - like pinstripes - or provide camouflage (like florals that are medium-to-large size and are tightly spaced together to show very little background.)

10.  Use makeup to make your face look thinner. Double chins are especially prominent as we age. My best friend uses this trick: find a powder one shade or so darker than your skin tone. Use upward sweeping strokes to apply it under your chin to help that area recede. I use a bronzing powder (applied with a very light hand, and with only touching the ends - not brushing) along cheekbones and on the temples.

Fashion Pants mens & womens

Culottes

Culottes have full and flowing legs that resemble a skirt. A modest type of shorts.
They're usually at full or calf-length, but they're also being made shorter today.

Harem

Also known as "parachute pants", harem pants are long and baggy, tapered at the ankle, with side flaps on the hip that button at the waistline.

Gauchos

They're similar to culottes, but gaucho pants are more tailored and usually flare out at the calf

Bermuda Short

They end just above the knee and are also known as "dress shorts" and "city shorts". That's because of their tailored cut, straight lines and clean hem, giving a polished look.
They're appropriate for semi-casual occasions. Great for beating the heat in the summer.

Dress Pants

These are worn for formal to semi-formal occasions (especially office), often made of wool or polyester.

Dress pants have a tailored, clean cut along with straight lines. They're snug around the hips, often with darts (simple tuck or gather at the upper thighs).

Slacks are a type of dress pants but less formal (no front pleat, cuffs, etc.) such as a pair of chinos.

Capri

Capri pants are cropped below the calf and above the ankle, and are very tricky for many women to pull off because they tend to visually chop off your height.

You need long and lean legs for this look - or at least add a decent heel height of about 2 inches. The hem cut should also be tapered or straight.

Flared capris are 'no-no's. I don't know why fashion manufacturers even make them!

Clam diggers

Clam diggers are a type of walk shorts but they end right below the knees.
Calf-length pants with a slight baggy cut, giving a casual feel. A very common style in jeans.
'Clam digger' and 'capri' are often used interchangeably.

Walk Shorts

They end up between just above the knee or down to the widest part of your calves, and a great alternative if you don't want to show off too much of your legs.

This shorts length is ageless and always appropriate, and looks more polished than short shorts.

Drawstring

A string set in the hem that closes the opening when pulled tight at one or both ends.
In casual pants, drawstrings can be found in waistbands or leg openings, such as on cargo pants.
Best worn for lounging or active occasions, but you can find some styles that work with heels and a nice top.

Cargo Pants

Womens cargo pants are casual pants with large pockets on the side at mid-thigh.
They create volume on the thighs, depending on the size and details of the pockets.

Great for casual outings - but can also be paired with dressy blouse to create a casual-sporty-chic look.
