MEN"S FASHION -SHOES ( PART-2 )
The co-respondent shoe is back, and is equally popular across the board. The name came about as the easily remembered designs were often cited in court by witnesses in divorce cases as having been left outside adulterers' hotel rooms for cleaning. Certainly, some of the new breed of two-tone shoes will make a big impression. One word of warning: wear solid-coloured socks with these, as otherwise you run the risk of your feet causing migraines.

Norway is rarely cited as a fashion hotspot but, perhaps surprisingly, it is the home of the loafer. These moccasin-style slip-on shoes were popular there in the Thirties, then exported throughout Europe, from where they were picked up and taken home by visiting Americans. The name originated from a fashion shoot published in America, featuring Norwegian farmers wearing the shoes in a cattle-loafing shed (the three-sided shelters for cattle at pasture). The Spaulding family of New Hampshire started to manufacture this style of footwear and was inspired by the shoot to name them "loafers" - and the name stuck. Not long after, GH Bass & Co started to manufacture loafers, calling them "Weejuns" to sound like the word "Norwegian".
